Head of Finance

As Head of Finance for AL-KO Netherlands you will be end-responsible for all financial related issues. AL-KO has three production sites spread across the Netherlands: Hengelo, Soesterberg and Nieuw-Vennep. The core finance location is Hengelo, but expected is that you visit the other locations. Within this role you will manage, maintain and support the finance team and a number of key financial processes to develop in line with business objectives. Within this internationally operating company the Head of Finance makes the connection between the sites in the Netherlands and their mother company located in Germany.

As Head of Finance you report directly to the Managing Director of AL-KO Netherlands. You will operate as a true Finance generalist and business partner for the MD and the leadership teams of the entities. When being in close corporation with the MD, you both take the Dutch part of AL-KO to the next level. In this job you will experience quite some freedom to take decisions and put your mark on the financial department.

Tasks & responsibilities:

Responsibility for the coordination and control of the Finance department (3fte)
You are responsible for preparing monthly management reporting as well as responsible for forecasts, budgets and flux analysis of the 3 sites in the AL-KO Netherlands group
Business Partner to all functions locally as well as to HQ
Ensuring financial compliance locally across all 3 sites in the AL-KO Netherlands group
Responsibility for preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements under local GAAP and support the Headquarter in potential ad hoc requests for IFRS across all 3 sites in the AL-KO Netherlands group
Responsibility for all tax matters especially (but not limited) to Income Taxes and VAT
Analysis and clarification of complex issues and questions
Being a trusted and valued partner / functional leader to AL-KO HQ
Project and Process responsibility for all accounting related projects for the AL-KO Netherlands Group
Driving continuous improvement and team development of the local Finance team
Contact person for auditors and tax consultants

Profile

We are looking for a financial with extended experience knowledge, strong communication skills and a drive to develop not only the company but also his team. You have a pragmatic attitude and have experience with working in a matrix organization.

You have:

Master’s degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics and post qualification is a plus
Strong communication skills
At least 10 -15 years’ experience in finance and 3-5 years in a managerial position
Experience in reporting systems preferable Hyperion or OneStream

You are:

Fluent in Dutch and English
