As Group Controller, you work closely with the CFO and play a crucial role in the financial oversight and strategic management of the company.
The position
As the Group Controller, you independently oversee and manage the financial activities of the organization. Working closely with the CFO, subsidiaries finance teams and other key stakeholders, you are responsible for ensuring accurate financial and business reporting, maintaining compliance with accounting standards, and providing strategic financial guidance to support business decisions. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a skilled finance professional to make a significant impact in a fast-paced and evolving environment. In this position, you primarily focus on four main themes: financial and business reporting, budgeting and forecasting, internal controls, and strategic management. Within these themes, these are your core responsibilities.
Your responsibilities:
- Follow-up and analyze the monthly, quarterly and annual reporting of the subsidiaries
- Consolidate and analyze the weekly and monthly KPIs and cash flow reporting
- Collaborate on annual and quarterly budgeting with department heads
- Establish and maintain robust internal controls
- Support in preparing annual statutory financial statements
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations
- Serve as a point of contact for group inquiries
- Oversee financial integration of new acquisitions
- Provide analysis and variance explanations to support decision-making
- Implement budget processes in a new reporting tool and identify improvements
- Provide support during internal audits
Profile
You are an enthusiastic and experienced finance professional with a deep understanding of the business and a strong analytical background. You have the ability to work independently in an international setting.
In addition, you recognize yourself in the following:
- Finished HBO/WO degree preferrable in Accountancy/Controlling
- At least 6 years of relevant work experience
- Experience as a financial within the staffing industry (consultancy/secondment/temporary employment) is a pre.
- Skilled in both Dutch and English
